Quality from the ground up

Whatever your project needs, BCA will put our proven design expertise and construction experience to work for you, saving you both time and money. We’ll meet your custom needs quickly, with as many cost-saving standard components as possible.

General Construction

When it comes to concrete, masonry, steel, wood or pre-engineered building, BCA has a reputation of dependability throughout North Alabama.

Our wide-ranging experience ensures flexibility on your projects as well as in-depth knowledge on how to save you money without sacrificing quality. In addition, the project managers and superintendent for your project will plan each phase of construction along your timeline to ensure timely completion.

Each general construction project begins with a schedule. Project managers and jobsite superintendents develop a timeline with milestone events to review with you. Should any issues arise, we communicate with you immediately and we’ll work to resolve them in a timely manner. Clear communications is one of the BCA cornerstones.

Design-Build

BCA’s Design-Build approach creates a single, collaborative team of owner, designer, and contractor from the very beginning of a project. By involving our construction professionals during the design phase, we help clients make informed decisions, control costs, accelerate schedules, and avoid costly surprises.

With a single point of accountability and continuous communication throughout the process, Design-Build delivers greater efficiency, better value, and a smoother project experience from concept to completion.

“The earlier we’re involved, the more value we can bring to our clients. Design-Build allows us to solve problems before they become problems.”
— Brandon Price, President

Historical Renovation

At BCA General Contractors, historic renovation is about more than restoring a building—it’s about preserving its story. Our team understands the importance of maintaining the character, craftsmanship, and architectural details that make historic structures unique while carefully integrating modern systems and functionality.

By combining construction expertise with a respect for original design, we help owners breathe new life into historic properties without losing the features that define their character and significance.

“The goal of a historic renovation isn’t to make a building new again—it’s to preserve what makes it special while preparing it to serve future generations.”
— Brandon Price, President

Construction Management

With more than 30 years of experience, the professionals at BCA understand how critical construction management is to the success of your project.

Our team maximizes the efficiency of the building process on the business side of the equation to ensure each stage is completed on time and on budget. We also proactively communicate with owners, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to keep projects moving smoothly from initial design to the final walk through.

Preconstruction Services

Successful projects begin long before construction starts. BCA works with owners to transform ideas into actionable plans by helping define project goals, establish budgets, evaluate feasibility, and coordinate with design professionals.

Throughout the design process, we collaborate closely with architects and engineers to keep constructability, schedule, and cost at the forefront of every decision. This early involvement allows our clients to make informed choices, maximize value, and avoid costly surprises later in the project.

“The best opportunity to control cost and create value is before construction begins. Our job is to help clients turn their vision into a plan that can be successfully built.”
— Brandon Price, President

Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings

The use of pre-engineered metal buildings allows us to design buildings with minimal design limitations. If you can dream it and describe it, then BCA can design and build it.

Systems construction – often referred to as “pre-engineered” – offers many efficiencies versus conventional construction methods, while still enabling buildings to be built to the same specifications and similar architectural design parameters as conventional buildings.

BCA works with you to custom design your facility using state-of-the-art engineering software. The advantage to you is time and cost; all structural parts are engineered and fabricated in the factory, improving efficiencies on the jobsite.

  • Advanced computer modeling enables the optimal use of raw materials.
  • Precision engineering, including factory-punched structurals, assures accuracy and speed in assembly and reduced labor.
  • BCA has constructed pre-engineered buildings for a wide variety of customers, including office complexes, churches, recreational facilities, medical buildings, and more.

Quality Control Program

Quality matters – to our customers and to the safety of our employees and subcontractors.

Jobsite Quality Control

Our policy is to ensure that appropriate installation practices and quality control procedures are implemented in order to produce a final product that complies with all applicable project standards and specifications.

BCA project managers and jobsite superintendents hold critical roles in our quality program.

They conduct specification reviews as well as civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical plan reviews. Jobsite quality controls – which includes meetings with all stakeholders, procurement, and onsite supervision – are integral to the BCA process and to achieving the safe, quality construction for which we are known.

Office Quality Control

To maintain financial integrity throughout the building process, BCA works on a stringent purchase order system with all suppliers and subcontractors; all change orders must be documented and approved as well prior to work being performed. Our financial team and project managers work closely together to approve the work performed prior to issuing client billings.
