BCA’s renovation project at 814 Bank Street for Citizens Bank & Trust was an opportunity to blend historic preservation with modern construction standards. Built in 1910, the former Tennessee Valley Bank building has come full circle, once again serving as home to a banking institution.

The 2,800 sq ft, two-story renovation highlighted key historic features. One of the standout architectural features is the elegant wood banister on the second floor, overlooking the main banking area below. We preserved and enhanced the unique flooring combination of imprinted cement and hardwood, creating a balance between historic authenticity and durability. The updated interior includes a reception area, glass-enclosed conference room, six offices, a kitchen, and two restrooms, creating a functional and professional space that honors the building’s history.
